Here are some final thoughts/observations on "The Game." Feel free to add your own.
The celebration penalties were weak and shouldn't have been called. They were inconsistent as Sanzenbacher and Hall both did the same thing after the first two TD's and they weren't flagged for it. It was reported today that the flag on the Posey TD was the the "O" and not the leap and that the coaches were not informed of the reason for the penalty during the game.
The commentary team of Sean McDonough and Matt Millen was just miserable. The only reason that I hope Michigan improves is so that we can get better commentators. The Big Ten Network would have been better.
Michigan has no talent on defense, and yes, they have a lot of guys coming back, but they are coming back from a defense ranked 102 in scoring and 109 overall, so I don't think there's much to get excited about. (Ohio State's defense is ranked third in scoring and second overall.)
I believe that Denard Robinson quit on his team. I don't care how much pain he was in. The injury was to his non-throwing hand, and in a game against your biggest rival that shouldn't keep you out of the game. A true competitor would have taken some painkillers and demanded to be put back into the game.
Jim Tressel now has as many consecutive Big Ten Championships as Rich Rodriguez has Big Ten wins.
Rich Rodriguez has four more conference losses after three years than Jim Tressel does after 10.
Michigan is 0-6 against Michigan State and Ohio State under Rich Rodriguez.
Michigan only has three home conference wins under Rich Rodriguez.
Michigan has never beaten a Big Ten team with a winning conference record under Rich Rodriguez.
Ohio State has scored more than twice as many points as Michigan in their games against each other under Rich Rodriguez.
Michigan has paid Rich Rodriguez approximately $933,333 per win in his three years.
Dan Herron has 175 yards against Michigan this year, 176 of those came in the second half (and 154 came in the third quarter).

The celebration penalties were weak, but after the first penalty it should have stopped. No reason to be flagged twice for the same celebration. Completely inexcusable and if I was Tress, I would have been livid.
And I am of the same opinion on Denard Robinson. Him going to Rich Rod and saying "no mas" but an absolute joke. I'm not sure I want that guy leading my team if I am a Michigan fan.

The celebration nonsense was just that. Cripe we wear those uni's for Nike, they shoot a few pairs of sweet gloves and we get shit for it. Screw Nike too.
Holding on Sanz was BS
Ohio State fans have no desire to hold hands and sing Kum Ba Ya with Rich Rod
Denard is Rich Rods Pat White in more ways than one

Like I said, it's been reported that the OSU coaches were not told what specifically the first celebration penalty was for, and it wasn't called the first two times that it happened, so they couldn't have known that it would get called again. And Tressel was livid. When he found out who the penalty was on the second time Adams got an earful from the coach.

Then how 'bout the no call on the face mask on the guy he was blocking?

Disagree with that too. Definitely facemask penalty there. Would have offset though, right?

How you could think that was a hold is beyond me... that's what's referred to in the film room as a domination, he got after his guy for 25 yards or more down the field and had his hands inside the framework where they're supposed to be and finished off the block in a fine fashion...
Total BS

You are probably the only person in the country who thinks it was a legit hold.

No, was actually in a room full of die hard Buckeye fans that agreed with it, once they saw the replay.
It's just an opinion, you fuck ass dicks.

AS a Buckeye fan, I hope they keep RichRod for at least another year. I've watched a lot of OSU/UM games in my 50+ years...and that has to be the worst coached Michigan team I've ever seen.
IMO...the call on Sanzenbacher was BS.....and even if it wasn't, it was awesome to watch.

Jim Tressel has more "Big Ten" wins (4) in the Big House than Michigan does under Rich Rod (3).

dude it was a dislocated finger..i know high school players that went out of the game, coach popped it back in place, then went right back in and finished the game

I'm not gonna go all internet tough guy, but I know plenty of HIGH SCHOOL players who've played with a lot worse than a dislocated finger, on his off hand.

It's ok that Denard asked out of the game. Those were men hitting him that will be playing on Sundays in the future. A 180 lb. QB running the single wing against that isn't going to last anyway. At least now he can get healthy for their bowl game.

Come on dude... That rivals the DWade hang nail injury.
Pryor played on a torn up knee last year before having surgery in the offseason.

Lol playing with a torn ligament in your knee isnt that bad (played basketball 3 years in HS with a torn ACL bc i coudlnt get it fixed until i stopped growing) And neither is dislocated fingers i suppose
But I guess he could of gone back in, think its being made a much bigger deal than it really is/was however. But on this board where Denard is hated for no apparent reason, I guess i shouldnt be shocked lol

Count me in as another who thinks Denard showed his panzy side and quit on his team. A dislocated finger on a player's off hand, even if it is a QB, is no reason to sit out The Game. Pretty pathetic, especially considering you have guys like Mike Martin, who has been battling serious ankle injuries for a lot of the season, toughing it out as much as possible week in and out for his team.

First, it's not an opinion. Either there was holding or there wasn't.ernest_t_bass;581391 wrote:No, was actually in a room full of die hard Buckeye fans that agreed with it, once they saw the replay.

Please feel free to point out to all of us how Sanzenbacher could have possibly been flagged for holding.
