What are your thoughts on this game?

My only thought is which players will be the starting five for Campbell. I have heard rumors that at least two, possibly three projected starters for this season decided to not come out for basketball. All are seniors. Can anyone confirm this?

If Lester doesn't play, Campbell will be lucky to finish at .500.

im hearing lester doesnt want to play and danilov isnt going to kiss his butt to play either. lester doesnt want to play with claxton and bledsoe. he feels they quit on him in the last game, and hes especially not happy with claxton practicing with the basketball team that week and shooting footballs like basketballs on the sidelines during the game. I think yesterday was his last day to go out and im not sure if he did or not. john sikora isnt playing either. Everyone else is playing. Im not very excited about this season, i think things can spin out of control quite quickly.

Lester Hughes is playing I believe, as for Sikora he is not as is Lester's younger brother J'ales. Both are concentrating on grades and football from what I know. Campbell's problems I believe are not with talent or depth, I believe they have both of those qualities. I think alot of it is coaching, I am a big fan of Danilov however the past couple of seasons his teams have not been his normal trademark. Good defense, unselfish play etc. He has a nice staff as far as being good former players. However, as coaches they are mediocre at best. This team will take some time to gel with many players coming from football. December should be interesting.

I dont know how much you know realdeal6 but if you have some inside scoop then I am happy Lester is playing...word was he was leaning towards being a cheerleader this year. He was very upset about claxton and bledsoe, but i hope your right because I believe hes the best basketball player in that school. Comes down to being proud to wear "Campbell" across your chest and being a LEADER not a CHEERLEADER.

I do think lester is a good basketball player as well, but it would surprise alot of people to know J'ales is probably the best player in the school when he puts his full effort into playing basketball. The kid can flat out play, just doesnt mesh well with Danilov. Lester is also a good player probably more of a basketball player than football player to be honest, he is not far from 1,000 career points. THis team is predicated on many things like 1) Can their bigs play like bigs and grow up quickly 2) Can Lebron turn into an unselfish player and become a pass first point guard.

As far as LEster being a cheerleader, thats just not him. Actually his reasons for not playing were grades and wanting to put himself into position so he can get into a school watever size so he can play football. I think thats a pretty good excuse. But yea Bledsoe and Lebron did quit that night, thats my opinion, and throw Rushton into that mix. I would be pissed tooo

realdeal im sorry but that reasoning is completely inaccurate. i spoke frankly with the kid and the reason was because he didnt feel he could rely on those kids that quit on him, whether he put out there it had to do with grades and football i dont know. but i do know the real reason. regardless hes playing.

As have I omemorial.... and that was the reason given to me, have I heard from him that he felt betrayed by the effort of his teammates of course and as I stated previously I dont blame him. When we spoke the brunt of the conversation was him focusing on playing at the next level and getting his life sorted out. So "the real reason" as you state for him not playing was not relayed to me that way. All in all good luck to him and the rest of the kids tonight. I think they will win tonight but Lakeview typically fields solid basketball teams so it will be interesting.

the jayvees are a complete joke. is that george simms on the bench? boy danilov must be losing it. no fundamentals and i dont think i saw them run anything all night. varsity is a work in progress but i do like no. 40 hes got to play more, he can get to the line and is a defensive force. theyll be alright.
