The coverage is getting better all the time. I get 4g from downtown columbus past New Albany on my drive to/from work.

VZW LTE is supposed to be live now or very soon. I'm pretty sure Columbus and CIN are on the list....think CLE also is. LTE handsets from VZW are due out in late Jan/Feb. If we are to believe the rumors and speculation, some killer handsets are going to be unveiled at CES in January - talking dual core monsters with next gen video processors that supposedly rival what's in a PSP. You're going to be able to hook up a monitor (with 1080p HDMI output) and keyboard and have a "computer" more powerful than the netbooks out on the market right now.

Is it worth the extra 5 bucks a month...is it that much better?

Mine is $10 extra, but it is noticeably faster. Not sure if it is worth the extra money just yet, but there is a big difference.

How long until I will be able to experience 4G where I live in Dover, OH, or at least in the Akron/Canton area? I love my EVO 4G, but would like to get something for that extra $10 a month.

That is my gripe with the charge(even though I am a verizon customer who gets reamed every month with their outlandish prices)...why should you have to pay the money if it isn't available in your area?....I think it is BS, but with that said...Sprints prices are so much better than verizon I guess people won't bitch much.
