you almost have to break it down by division right now
AFC East
New York Jets 9-2
New England 9-2
AFC North
Baltimore 8-3
Pittsburgh 8-3
AFC South
Jacksonville 6-5
Indianapolis 6-5
Houston 5-6
Tennessee 5-6
AFC West
Kansas City 7-4
Oakland 6-5
NFC East
Philadelphia 7-4
New York Giants 7-4
NFC North
Chicago 8-3
Green Bay 7-4
NFC South
Atlanta 9-2
New Orleans 8-3
Tampa Bay 7-4
NFC West
St. Louis 5-6
Seattle 5-6
The Monday night game between San Francisco (3-7) and Arizona (3-7) is actually an important game. The winning team will only be one back in that awful division.

I can't believe 5-6 is good enough to be leading a division.

I thought I heard an announcer say that 8-8 is the worst record ever to win a division...i think the browns did that in 1985

They were ^^
It's happened a few times, but never a 7-9 division winner.

The NFC West is such a joke. And next week is huge.
Jets/Pats and Steelers/Ravens both have not just division, but potentially home field implications. Then you have Jacksonville @ Tennessee in a big AFC South game with Indy having lost 3 of 4 to open things up.
