I know some of you will look at this as if I'm crazy. But we have to remember what M.V.P stands for. Too many times we look at it as an award to the best player, when actuality it’s about who is the Most "Valuable" Player. Meaning if you take a player off a team, will that team still be as good. It is well documented the Titans was 0-6 to start the NFL season. Since Young took over the starting Quarterback duty, they are 5-0. I highly doubt he wins it, but if the Titans finish 10-6 or 9-7, I think he deserve some consideration for the award.

I agree. He won't win it. But he fits the name of the award perfectly. He also needs to win Comeback player of the year, but that's going to Brett Favre.

I think MVP is a stretch but Comeback is an option. Chris Johnson has been a beast this year.

Brett Farve should win every award in the NFL and they should rename the awards after Brett Favre.

Not even close. He's helped them win 5 games. It also has A LOT to do with their secondary finally healthy as well.

I agree with Vince being the comeback player of the year, he's playing like everyone thought he would when he got drafted

Comeback player of the year. He's definitely the MVP of that team though.

My MVP Candidates

1. Manning (undefeated, 2 huge comeback wins)
2. Brees (starting smoking hot, has cooled slightly but still undefeated)
3. Favre (10-1, but that team is way more loaded than the Colts or Saints)
4. C Johnson (tough with 6 losses but has a chance at the rushing record)
5. Rivers (good stats, quietly has his team back at 8-3)

I agree, he deserves to be in the talk. But he won't be because stats mean everything. A lot of MVP awards shouldn't be called an MVP award--more like the best player award. The real MVP usually never wins it in any pro sport--they just have the best stats. Doesn't mean they're the most important player in the league to their team.

I'd love to say it's Favre or even Brees, even as much as I like Peyton Manning. I like those guys too, but it's definitely Manning right now IMO. He is more important to his team than the others.
