Hartley. I have to admit being amazed by their run. They got KILLED by Ironton in the regular season and beat them when it counted. General consensus was that Region 16, with Clinton-Massie, Kenton, Alter and Alder was likely the best D IV region and would likely provide the state champion. Hartley just beat Alter.
I don't know what happened after that loss to Ironton, but they seem possessed right now.

Hartley is on a real good run right now and I have to pull for them to bring Central Ohio another title.

Good luck Chagrin Falls! You beat my Riders now go and finish the job. It is a fact that private schools recruit and for this reason I hope you physically beat the snot out of Hartley! From experience I can tell you these private school kids talk more trash than anyone...very vulgar trash talk at that! Go for the jugular Chagrin!

What are you talking about you probably dont know anything about Hartley at all you probably didnt even know them till you found out they beat Alter so how would you know if they recruit or not so how about you think before you start posting wrong stuff on here trying to bring down Hartley. I gurantee there are public schools that recruit also for example couple years ago Pickerington Central was caught recruiting people from out of the district of the school. And for the comment that private schools talk more trash than anyone I can tell you that private schools are more disciplined then public and Hartley is definately not a trash talking team if someone says something to a player from Hartley they just walk back not saying anthing and play the next play.

The idea that Catholic schools, especially Bishop Hartley, recruit is a little ridiculous to anyone that actually knows the school. First of all, we definitely don't have enough money to hand out scholarships to athletes. That's just a fact. Our school doesn't even place that much emphasis on athletics, to be honest, and if we were recruiting we must be doing a pretty bad job of it since we haven't made it this far since the 80's.
Its just kind of sad to see adults reacting to high school football like this. The boys have worked so hard to get here. The seniors missed their Washington DC trip because that would mean no practice for the Alter game. As for that "very vulgar trash talk", I haven't heard any of it. And I think it would be kind of hard to miss, considering I'm a student.

I think if a high school athlete had the chance to go to DC or the State semi's they would choose the State semi's 99.9% of the time so it wasnt really that much of a sacrifce to miss a trip to go to DC and plus you can go to DC whenever you want you cant go to state semi's whenever you wanthartleyhawk11;579409 wrote:The idea that Catholic schools, especially Bishop Hartley, recruit is a little ridiculous to anyone that actually knows the school. How many starters did Chagrin Falls return this year from last year's state runner-up team?

Chagrin Falls returns to the championship game for the second year in a row, and is looking to secure their school's first title.
Hartley is making their third trip to the finals. They have won a title, and lost one.

Don't know a whole lot about either team this year...this division killed me in my brackets though....Good luck to both teams...should be a great game. I will pick Chagrin Falls though.

Good luck CF.
They lost 20 seniors from last year's state finalist, and a lot of their impact players are sophs and juniors. Lots of talent and they spread it around to all of them. Big & quick up front. Speedy DB's. They've got the balance for sure.

Actually not, God is on the side of those that believe on him, so it's up for grabs as to who has more believers

If Hartley is a power running team they could have success against Chagrin. Offensively chagrin has a lot of speed and can adapt to whatever the are having success with offensively albeit run or pass. They are not a power run team though. Like most games this weekend....turnovers will have a lot to do with winners.
