Lots of things developing in the Mid Ohio Valley.

Rumors swirling (and seemingly they are confirmed now) that this will indeed be Dan Liedtke's last year coaching the boys at Fort Frye.

Frontier putting a fairly young team out there.

Kapono tells me it's a really down year for the whole league. what's the rest of you got to say?

Monroe Central might be a surprise team in the PVC. They've got a lot of size and some players coming back who were either injured or didn't play last year.

Fort Frye looks like the team to beat in league play. Shennandoah is solid. Central is big and athletic but struggled with Caldwell last weekend. Caldwell should have beaten them. Caldwell is probably the 4th best team, suprising I know. They took central to the wire and put a whoopin' on Beallsville last night, wouldn't be suprised to see them knock off central next month and maybe pull a few more suprises. River is improved with the Potts kid leading the way. Frontier will return a few players from suspension in the next few weeks. Buckeye Trail is gonna struggle this year. League is solid for a small school grouping, not spectacular by any means.

Caldwell is now 2-1 on the year, as they defeated previously undefeated Barnesville Saturday night.

I read in the Times Reporter that this will be his second year coaching both the boys and the girls. If it his last year coaching the boys will he be now focusing on just the girls program? The article stated he has 3 daughters. I know one of them plays for Fort Frye this year. Are his other daughters older or younger?

i believe he has 2 younger daughters, don't know for sure. and I've heard the same thing, he's going to coach the girls until all his kids are done playing then likely retire from coaching and teaching .

Fort Frye travels to Caldwell to take on the 4-2 Redskins. Match-up of a perennial PVC contender and maybe the most surprising and improved team in the PVC.

has FFHS been playing the underclassmen? I've heard that's where the bulk of their talent is.
