A bunch of stuff that could have been avoided that wasn't. Traffic, parking, concessions, it was all a mess, but regardless, we still had a blast. My son, which is the real reason we went, had a great experience for his first live race. Met Michael Waltrip and Kevin Harvick. Also met Rutledge Wood from the SPEED Channel. He's an awesome dude. The SPEED cameraman seen my sons hair (we shaved an 18 in the back of it for the race because he's a Kyle fan) and decided he was going to record it. LOL So he thought that was neat because he might have been on SPEED during Raceday. Had great seats and a great view to watch the race, right behind Pit Road, then to top it off, Kyle wins the race. After the race, he was standing there when the crews were pushing the cars back, and a member from Kyle's crew, Kurt's crew, and Biffle's crew all gave him lug nuts from the race. So he got pretty excited about that. Then we went over to Victory Lane to watch Kyle celebrate. When they were doing in V.L., the crew was pushing Kyle's car back to the hauler, looked over, and seen my son had a Kyle shirt on, so he tossed him one of the M&M's Victory Lane hats. To top it off, he was right beside Kyle while Kyle was walking back to the hauler. Made a 9 year olds weekend, that's for sure. Had a blast.
Very cool GoChiefs sounds like you and the boy had a great time.
