Need to buy a camera for my wife. Between $100 and $150. I know nothing about cameras,so I'm open to any suggestions. There's a Walmart and Target down the street. Hopefully I can go there.

Unless you are a professional photog... which you are not. I don't think you could go wrong with anything these days.... just read reviews on their websites and cnet.com, and pick out the one that has the best reviews for the price you want.

I am a big fan of Canon and Nikon point and shoots. Don't be enamored with megapixels on a point and shoot camera, though. Squeezing in 12MP on that little of a sensor isn't necessarily a good thing. It is unfortunate you can't find many 8MP point and shoots around anymore. I wouldn't go any higher than 10MP.

we just bought my sister in law a coolpix (nikon) for 99 bucks its 10 MP like jc said, too small of a sensor to really warrant any more than that.
