In next years draft what do you think the Browns will focus on in the first few rounds? And with McCoy playing the way he is, are they still going to draft a QB? If so, what round? I could see them drafting a top WR in round one to help out the offense...such as AJ Green, Julio Jones, etc. if they choose to go elsewhere in round 1 what position do you think they would look at more than WR? The DL or LB's?

Top needs would be:

WR
A pass rusher (or two)
OL (right side)
CB (Haden and Brown will be a very good combo, but the jury is definitely out on Wright now)
LB (I'd like to get younger and more athletic here, but obviously the guys they got at LB are doing their jobs)

To me, WR is still the #1 need. Pass rush is #2. Dbacks is #3.

Obviously, the Browns are going to pound the ball all game or use the short to mid passing game. They have 0 deep threat at all. Colt can throw it accurately, just needs someone to throw it to.

Everything that I read is that they are still high on Hardesty...I wonder if they even address that need.

Yeah I am not a HURTesty believer (see what I did there?) 5 yrs in college, one season. He's injury prone IMO.

Yea if healthy, I think Hillis-Hardesty should be a pretty good 1-2 punch...but guess it's hard to tell since we really haven't seen him play a down in the regular season...but James Baldwin could be a guy they could go for later if they wanted to go defense in round 1...I still think they need some more DB's as well

I think the same thing, but then again....I thought that James Davis would be their back of the future....

Oh I too liked Davis. I would much rather have him over Mike freaking Bell. Bell/Clayton at back up RB is a joke. Hillis gets hurts, we're screwed.

WR definitely has to be at the top of the list but I wouldn't be upset with a DE/LB at #1 either. Get a receiver, front 7 help on defense, maybe a corner or safety and a young offensive lineman to groom and I'd be happy. However I will say that, given Holmgren's track record, we will probably draft a QB at some point in the draft.

9 games into the season and you're talking about next seasons draft. Only in Cleveland.

What about Adrian Clayborn or Robert Quinn out of UNC? I think Clayborn will be a nice player but not sure how he would be in the 3-4.

I am curious to see where Cam Heyward is projected. He was listed as a top ten guy at the beginning of the year, but seems like he has been relatively quiet this year(probably due to doubleteams). I think he will be a solid NFL player.

He will be a late 1st early 2nd pick...but more suited for the 4-3.

yeah, that is true. I think we should just put Benjamin on the edge and let him do work.

Peyton Hillis could even line up as an occasional pass rusher...

This has nothing to do with the draft, but it's a very good article on the Browns. Stole it from BR's facebook page.

I'll be very dissapointed if we don't draft a highly skilled WR...As long as we get an AJ green type player, I will be happy with the draft.
