Not too much interest for this one, but still a great rivalry. The MAC finally got it right and moved the game off of Thanksgiving weekend.
Toledo probably needs to win the next 2 to make a bowl.

Rockets are rolling. Beckman is a hell of a coach. I was at the game last year, the Rockets gave that game away. They aren't making the same mistake.
Beckman will have this program on par with what Nick Saban and Gary Pinkel had in due time.
That Thomas fellow can FLY.

FWIW, Beckman said it was a big point of emphasis of his to get the game moved to a day where students of both schools were actually on campus and not on Thanksgiving break. It is kind of stupid to have your biggest rivalry game of the year scheduled continually on a day when the campus is empty.

Toledo only loses about 6 guys that will hurt, mainly a couple O-linemen. Next year they should win 9 games.
As for this game, great start but you can really see the inexperience for UT. Several drops and they are struggling on 3rd and short. Part of that is they won't run the QB draw with Owens because they don't have a backup if he gets hurt. You would see Dantin running all the time. BG sucks so it's hard to judge but I like the promise UT is showing. They need to put a couple long drives together this half and not rely of the big play.

Schilz just threw a pass into the first row of the crowd, literally. I don't even think he was trying to throw it away either as there was a reciever open on the sideline where the ball sailed over his head. LOL at the fan who "threw" it back, he is getting killed by the commentators.

I actually teased it to 49 and have Toledo at -4.5. If they can't get 3 lousy points I'm gonna be so pissed. That terrible BG kicker missed that 37 yd FG. This looks like two bad high school teams. If Toledo was going to try and impress any bowl committees with this game, they're fucked.

22k attendance. Not too bad, if Toledo had beaten NIU last week it would have been around 25k I would think. BG only brought a couple hundred, that was pretty sad.

Toledo has yet to play a full game this year and BG is just terrible, 50pts is asking a lot

Not a lot of fans on the home side, but the student section was pretty packed.

I'm a BG grad and didn't even know (or care) that this was on TV. I have no desire to watch a program that is mired in crap.
I think BG blew it when they hired Clawson. I just don't see much improvement coming down the line.
Hope I'm wrong.

Not a surprise that Page would receive some accolades. I'd be shocked if he isn't First Team All MAC the next two years and not at least in the conversation of Offensive POY>

He was 1st-team MAC his freshman year too right? A 4x first-team MAC WR would surely be in the NFL I would think...

He was voted 2nd team last year. If I remember correctly Stephen Williams was 1st team.

It'd be nice, but Page is way too small to be in the NFL IMO. If he went over the middle he might literally get killed.
