About to get underway. USMNT travels back to South Africa to take on the hosts of World Cup 2010 in an international friendly. This will be a very tough environment to perform in, but the USMNT has the better team. Should be a good game.

Have yet to find the line-ups for the game.

BTW, Messi goes all Messi on Brazil in the 2nd minute of stoppage time to net the game winner.

Argentina 1
Brazil 0

Thanks for the reminder. USMNT should get a win here, but it's definitely the "second teamers" getting the start:

Lineup (4-5-1): Guzan (c); Lichaj, Goodson, Ream, Bornstein; Pause, Carroll; Rogers, Gaven, Bedoya; Findley.

So pissed I am gonna have to miss the second half of this game. I wish it started at 2 and not 230.

Too bad its because they lost!

But it is nice to see. Ideally, I would like to get to the point where we have a team dominated from overseas, and not have 6 MLS players starting like today. But if we are to see MLS players, obviously like the Crew to be represented.

Teal Bunbury (former Akron player) comes in for Findley in the second half. First appearance as a US player after playing on the U17 and U20 Canadian teams.

1-0 final. Nice opportunity to get the young guys game experience. Some of those names will be in the mixer for 2014.

Agudelo is the youngest goal scorer in the modern era for the US MNT

Agudelo showed more poise on that finish than any forward has done for the USMNT in like 6 years (save the Jozy goal versus Spain).

Bunbury with some nice on the ball moves and held up the play well while Agudelo made the runs. Maybe the US is onto something in the forward ranks moving forward!
