never too early to start talking about next year...is jales ready to make the jump to one of the great players all time, he certainly has a great start. who are the exciting players coming up to watch? what tweaks will be made to the staff? i want to say something, i do think that there is one man who needs to get involved on the defensive side of the ball. a frank minnie disciple...jim hazimihalis. he knows how to run a defense and did a great job at lowellville. hes campbell hard nosed. i think the staff needs to bring him. i dont know what hes doing nowadays or if he even has the time, but i think this is overdue. we never gave up 50 points to anyone back in the day, even in the bad years. we need to fix some things on that side of the ball. i think hell help greatly.

Campbell should be solid again next year. It will be interesting to see who is the starting QB. Hughes, Ray, and Charles Smith should be the leading candidates in the backfield. Anthony Rushton returns at wide receiver. Braylon Wigfall could also play receiver. There will be some holes to fill on the offensive line, hard hit by graduation. But there are kids with some size coming up who can eventually fill some of that void, led by a really impressive player by the name of Sean Burnett, and Shaqwon McWilson, a huge kid who will be a junior. Defensively Campbell returns Burnett and Quincy Little up front. Burnett played mostly on defense this season. But I expect he will be a two way lineman in 2011. I expect David Horvath to have an impact at one of the end positions. I expect Shamar Robbins, Cary Clinkscale and Charles Smith to be in the mix at linebacker, with some big shoes to fill after the graduation of John Sikora and David Benedis. Alex Zudakov returns as our kicker/punter. Haz would make a great defensive coach. We've known that for years.

i was hearing reyes at qb...but they have too many guys in that backfield with talent, so theyre going to have find a spot for all them. you cant have them on the bench. but jales is gonna command carries, and how can you deny him.

We should be in the mix with the AAC again.. And we have alot of talent.. And my fear is that some Ursuline or Mooney Idiot will promise the world to a player and they will go... But them again i hope they look to no other then one of there own that left them PJ quinn,.. His career is over and never has been. The thing is you are only good till the better comes along. i dot care if yu get 1500 yards. If they find somone that can get 1501 they will start him over you. Thats the truth about them schools.. Stay home bring us back the glorry and then we can compete with the likes of mooney again.

What about Jales's younger brother who will be a sophomore next year, didn't he play QB at the lower levels? If, and that's a big IF, if Jimmy Haz was in a position to be able to coach, then that's a no brainer, you bring him on immediately! Heard O.C. Zetts is headed back to Struthers to be their new AD, anyone have information?

younger Hughes has ALOT to prove after being tossed off the Freshman team for disciplinary reasons at the end of the season. I look for and old school style Campbell offense next year, with a Rozum-esque style playbook. Lester's shoes will be tough to fill...we've been pretty spoiled the last few years.

If I had to guess, I'd think they would go with Reyes, being the most experienced QB they have. He's a nice athlete as well, tends to get bit by the injury bug alot though.

Truthfully, don't be surprised if ALOT of the names mentioned above are not even on the team next year. Only my honest opinion.

As far as the other thread goes, I wasn't bashing the poster, just making a comment about the team. I have nothing but respect for all the Campbell posters and consider you all good friends, I just thought his comments were a bit much and I reacted...my apologies to you all for losing focus.

Those that know me know how much these kids mean to me and I defend them like my own family.

Mooney is HEAVILY trying to land O'Dea, he doesn't want to go, but I heard his grandpa for one is pressuring him. Ursuline is after QB Ben Phillips as well, the kid himself has talked about encounters with 'staff' trying to sell him on the 'exceptional academics'.

i have heard zetts will be leaving...not surprised by that at all. i have a feeling these 8th grade kids are gonna stay.

Are you all serious? Zetts leaving??? Come on. There is no way that he would go back to Struthers... For one they hung him out to dry and kicked him on the way out. If he does then i wish him luck but for god sakes they put him out to pastures. We cant afford to loose to many coaches. then we need to go after Soroka and Jimmy Haz!! Soroka still teaches at campbell. Why dont they go and get some of Rozums assistance.

i thought the ones who dismissed him were gone, so why wouldn't he go back if the opportunity presented itself. As for Coach Rozum's assistants, I"ve always heard that they wouldn't coach unless he came back.

Congratulations to all the kids and Coach Sikora..I hope we can continue to build on the last couple seasons.

Congratulations to all the players and Head Coach Sikora on their accomplishments. I am sure we have many receiving all conference selections as well.

Off season will be interesting. All we can do is speculate and probably 10% of that will be true come August.

Sit by Jim Haz during a game and listen to him talk defense and you will see that having him coach is a no brainer...but he is also a busy guy. Asking never hurt anyone however!!!!
