Sounds fishy to me....Maybe they were involved in something they shouldnt have been?? A random ambush just doesnt sound right, i think there is more to it.....prayers to the families of the fallen....

The person that did this is obviously nuts or very stupid. When they find out who did this, it may get very ugly.

That's what I'm thinking. The person who did this knew precisely what he was doing. It had to be someone who knew that these guys frequented this particular coffee shop for morning coffee.

I'm surpised this doesn't happen more often to be honest. The guys are so high profile and there are a lot of nuts out here that feel wronged by the police in many ways, real or imagined.

i dont think it was specific to these 4 officers though. i think he just saw the cops and it was a crime of opportunity. they wear a uniform and a badge, to this guy, they are the bad guys.

They have the suspect surrounded in a house..they know he has been shot..they believe he may already be dead.

Yup, apparently the guy hasn't been in the house they surrounded.

Lol..it's not funny..but you have to laugh about that screw up. Spend all night there and the guy isn't even in the house? Amazing.

It's very unfortunate for those involved, but I thought it was always a rule... When more than one officer is in a building, one always keeps an eye on the door (buddy system) for events like this. Are officers getting lazy? Taking things for granted? I hope this serves as a wake up call to other law enforcement agencies out there. In my opinion, it should've never got as far as it did.

Glad to see that someone updated this story.
It’s a good day when the police can take out a dirtbag like this.

Luckily this one won't be costing taxpayers a lot of money keeping him alive for the next 50 years.
