It's no coincidence that Cincy went from winning the division last year to last place this year, is it?

Trent Dilfer broke TO down perfectly yesterday during NFL Live, showing tape of TO not giving 100% on several plays, some of which lead to interceptions or broken running plays.

Skip has it right when he says TO ='s Team Obliterator. Now Chad is upset, which is funny, because I forgot Chad existed on Cincy.

It's so obvious that Carson force feeds TO to keep him happy, because TO isn't about the team, he's about himself.

Wow...watta surprise it is that Cinci imploded after acquiring T.O. (stands for Tub O'shyt). Watta huuugge surprise it is that Ochostinko is upset becuz someone stole some of his limelight. The Bungles front office has no one but themselves to blame for the total devastation of a season.

I think it's unfair to put the demise of the Bengals on TO's shoulders. He's having a very productive year, for the money he's being paid. Does he take plays off? Yea, maybe. But when you see the production you are getting compared to the expense associated with it, he's a bargain.

More blame goes to the defensive line, LB play and Palmer. TO has actually been one of the few bright spots.

Have you ever seen the Bengals string together winning seasons under Marvin Lewis? I'm not saying T.O. is all that but he is having a good year. Last night he made some catches and took shots and still hung on the ball. Something no one else on the team could do last night.

I'm tired of the Bengals up and down seasons................get rid of Marvin Lewis. He's not going to take them any further than what he has.

Or do you keep for him one more year, to let him go lead them through the natural cycle of them getting into the playoffs.

TO said this is the best 2-6 team he has ever been on.

The Bengals have made the Playoffs only 2 times under Lewis and since 1990 so I don't get the cycle of make playoffs miss playoffs.

Poor TO. He has to be the only guy in the league who can put up ridiculous numbers and be blamed for his team being bad. Its hilarious how quick everyone points the finger at him.

Forget Carson Palmer's QB rating, which is 20th in the league, two spots behind Ryan Fitzpatrick. No, it can't be the defense. Not the defense that is tied for 25th in scoring defense, 23rd in rushing defense, 18th in avg yards a game.

Is TO the reason Bernard Scott fumbled the opening kickoff last night? Is he the reason the Bengals had a blocked punt? Is he the reason they gave up 38 to New England or 39 to Atlanta? Is TO the one who had a catch go through his hands only to be intercepted and lead to the loss against Tampa Bay, or was he the one who threw a pick 6 that game inside the Bengals own 20 yard line?

TO isn't perfect and I have noticed a few plays where he wasn't trying for a ball like he should, but to blame him for why this team is 2-6 is ridiculous. There have been way too many screw ups by everyone else to put the blame on TO's shoulders when he's this productive of a year.

All you TO haters make me laugh. He has done nothing to tear this team apart. He carried Cinci last night. If Nugent could kick a damn ball, scott could hold onto it, or the bengals knew their blocking assignments on punts, the game very easily could have been different.

Fact: the Bengals went from division winners to one of the worst teams in the league. What were the major additons to the team? Who'd they lose?

I think his base pay is around $2 million and he's actually on pace to get another $2 million in reaching certain incentives.

+1. I really don't think you can put the blame on TO as to why the Bengals are playing poorly. Personally, I thought the Bengals played a little over their heads last year. Don't get me wrong, as a Cleveland fan I was glad to see someone win the division that wasn't Baltimore or Pittsburgh. But I was never too impressed with Cincy, their season last year reminded me too much of the Browns 2007 season when they won 10 games. I think it is more that the Bengals are just coming back down to Earth. After all, this is the NFL, where a few breaks here and there can be the difference between 2-6, 4-4, and 6-2. Maybe they are a little better than how they are playing right now, but the truth is somewhere in between this year and last year IMO.

Although TO is a prima donna POS, I don't think you can put the blame on the guy. The fact of the matter is, the Bengals were not really as great as most people were making them out to be. The 10-6 Bengals easily could have been 6-10, 7-9, or 8-8 last year. There had to be at least 5 games where they won in at least the last 30 seconds. Heck, that FG vs the Browns didn't even go in so, they should have had only 9 wins with a tie. Everything seemed to go right for them at the beginning of the year, but then they finally got exposed in the end, and got stomped on but legitimate teams. I knew there was no way they were going to repeat their performance from last year. They would need everything to go their way, and I also knew Benson was not going to repeat his rushing performance. It was laughable when people were actually predicting the Bengals to win the division, and even make a run toward the Super Bowl.

They might have one of the worst records in the league, but i dont think you can call them one of the worst teams. They have had a chance to win every game in the 4th

TO has nothing to do with how bad the Bengals are. Just Bengal fans lame excuse on why they suck. Benson isn't doing anything. Palmer isn't the same. Ocho is missing.

Sorry, I wasnt aware people you know that are Bengals fans were part of the discussion. There isn't one person on here that is a Bengals fan saying T.O. is the problem.

The Bengals problem is the same problem they've had for over 20 years: ownership, no scouting department and a lack of a general manager. Until Mike Brown is not physically capable of running this team anymore and hands to keys to his daughter, the Bengals will continue to offer a mediocre product. Even then, his daughter may run the team just like dad. Bengal fans better hope she decides to bring in a GM, scouting and what not so the Bengals can catch up with the rest of the NFL.

I most certainly am not a Bengals fan..one of my least favorite teams in fact (topped only by Pittsburgh and probably baltimore). And not blaming the Bengals poor year all on TO. The main problem is indeed mangemant, and the fact that Lewis continually oks them to bring in poor character guys (Benson, Pacman, TO, the list is enless). You can't win consistently with that strategy. But especially looking at TO's track recoed, don't think you can say he's made them better in any way.

I dont get your point on bringing in the troubled guys..its not like they have gotten into trouble since they have been in cinci. He has been their best offensive weapon all season, you cant say he's made them worse

^^^ true enough---none apparently have gotten in trouble. And we don't know all the reasons they are worse this year, just saying TO certainly hasn't made them better, regardless of the stats he's put up.
