Taking my 12 yr old son to the Penn State game Saturday. I know it's a 3:30 start. Does anybody know when the skull session starts. It use to be around 2 hrs before kickoff. Thanks in advance.

I believe it's still 2 hours before kickoff @ St. John Arena. I'm sure it'll be packed for Penn State so I'd suggest getting there a little early.

2 hrs it is.

Take the boy thru Conrad's early for a souvenir, it will be something he treasures the rest of his life.

Might as well make a day of it. I can still remember my first time in the shoe.
Leave early and stop in Sloopy's Diner in the Ohio Union for lunch.
If you see a waiter about 6'2" 250 lbs. say hi to him(Neal).
Oh yeah, and ask him why he doesn't call his dad more often?

You probably already know this, but make sure you are in your seats for the band entrance.

If you don't get goose bumps when that band takes the field and starts playing Buckeye Battle Cry -- you may as well forget checking your pulse, because you are already dead. :)

Most importantly enjoy every minute of the time with your son. My kids are older but still reminisce about the times we went to similar events when they were younger.

this.

the detail of the game will most likely be forgotten, but he will never forget the first time he sees Script Ohio.

All I read was 'I am thinking about turning my son down a road of sexual identity confusion and perhaps turning him into an asshole later in life who knows nothing about football'.

Maybe I read it wrong though.

He'll have an awesome time though really. I too suggest not missing Script Ohio and prepare him for the realization of walking a lot more than a high school game. That is what stood out the most to me until I was about 14.

hahah oh I see. Yeah, I do work at the Union, I did play football well in high school, and I probably at full potential would've been a fine body bag at a Big Ten school. There are two linemen in particular at Ohio State whom I feel I could perform as well as on the 3rd-string scout team. :D The Knowlton School of Architecture and walking-on doesn't bode well for most, with Eddie George being a huge exception.

For the record I'm in Catering at the Union, you only see me with the bigwigs. ;) and I'm only 230 after losing 49lbs. of football weight I don't need anymore.
