This has been the roadblock to state for Hiland. Keep knocking and at some point the door has to open. As much as I'm eager to see the basketball team, the chance to win a state title takes priority. No secret that soccer isn't my favorite game, but I would love to see those kids make it to state and win it. Worthington Christian has had their success. Time to step aside. :)

Coach Bods deserves a lot of credit for having a program that makes it to regionals regularly.

Agree...congrats on getting this far, but dad-gum-it it'd sure be nice to get past these guys. One of these years we're gonna get there, it might as well be this year! We've had the toughest road to get this far we've had in a few years, and even were on the right side of Lady Luck for a time or two (I can never remember being on this side of her before) so maybe that means we're due.
Deserves mention tho that this makes six straight district titles--a pretty impressive resume for Bods. This with the majority of the guys where soccer is their "second" sport. And they do it year in and year out with guys that play the game right. We've run in to our fair share of foul mouthed and times just plain dirty players; am proud to see our kids play the game the way it's supposed to be played. Teams tend to relect their coaching, and it's a tribute to Bods that his teams consistently are good examples of sportsmanship. (as opposed to a not to be mentioned team that recently f-bombed the ref after the game and threw their runner up district medals on the ground after receiving them...)

He's been whipping me the past 2 years if I have a bad day. 2 weeks ago in an adult/Jr tournament, he blistered sets of 687 and 736......dad only mustered a paltry 620 and 630. :)

We'll have to see if Hiland can knock on that door... again... and get it to open.

Evidently, WC didn't think they had won enough regional championships. Jerks!
