No, they are both gone to the NFL, and they should. Both studs who will go high in draft IMO. They would be stupid to risk an injury, ala Bradford, at this point in time. Even if they did pull a Chitwood, it wouldn't matter.

I think they're both gone but not because of Weis. If they stayed Weis would still be gone.
Maybe the better question is.....how long will it be before we start seeing "Stoopss" and "Crisst" on here?

I guess the positive aspect from an ND standpoint is that it looks good that there will be two ND players picked in the 1st round of the draft. Sadly, that didn't amount to much team success while at ND but it shows that ND can still get some very good players to come to South Bend to play football. Now we need a coach who can lead those types of players to wins on a regular basis and then we might be on to somethin'.

They should go no matter what. They are most likely 1st rounders and I believe this is the last year that rookies will get the big contracts.
Under the new collective bargaining agreements, rookies get substanially less. Anyone who is eligible and may go 1st day should declare.

I think it is more of a thread about a couple of players from ND rather than it being a thread about ND.

Clausen I think is gone regardless, but I'm not so sure on Tate. In listening to his comments recently, it seems like he wants to come back. He has said he will sit down with Weis and listen to advice he has to offer.

I think they both go to the NFL. Sadly ND football isn't what it used to be, and in this grab the money and run society we live in now (one which I have lived in for decades now) they should jump ship before their reputations get tainted. Saying this as a fairly big ND fan.

What does it have to do with ND, besides two players that play for ND? It is about the players going pro. I said it is more about that then it is ND the team/program/school. My hope is that we land Stoops and he convinces them to stay with a promise of an offense which spotlights its weapons and a defense which won't leave them hanging out to dry. My fear is they are both gone and right now the fear is winning.

Mel Kiper updated his "Big Board", he has Clausen at #4 and the #1 rated junior QB. Granted it's Kiper and he's been wrong before but when stuff like this starts to circulate, Jimmy is as good as gone. I hope I'm wrong.

Kiper also moved Tate up to 5th on his list of WR's. Said he sees a lot of similarities to Percy Harvin.
