Similar thing to the Ohio/Buffalo thread. This game that pits the Chippewas against the Rockets.
This game could be either a blowout in favor of the Chips, but with their lackluster performance against Boston College, I wouldn't put it past Toledo to keep this close and possibly pull off the upset.

Toledo sucks, BUT they played CMU close last season, and the Chips have a pretty bad D. I'm hoping the Rockets show some life and get bowl eligible.

Game will start in a few minutes.
BTW, I can't figure out how to get the poll to close other than 24 hours after I post the original poll. If anyone could help me here, that would be awesome.

game doesn't start til a lil after 8pm. I don't think you can do a poll less than 24hrs.

Yeah, I tried to put .75 days on another poll but it said it wasn't a applicable time period. Oh well, I'll just load these up a day before the game. I plan on doing these threads for all midweek games, as well as the local FBS teams on Saturdays.dave wrote: game doesn't start til a lil after 8pm. I don't think you can do a poll less than 24hrs.

Toledo moves the ball down the field and scores a touchdown on its first drive of the game.
7-0 Toledo with 10:32 remaining in the first quarter. CMU on their own 46.

End of the first quarter. Toledo's drive has stalled at the 1 yard line of CMU. 4th and goal with the game tied 7-7, does Toledo go for the TD or the safe points?

Toledo makes in in to the endzone. Gutsy call.
Toledo leads 14-7 with 14:57 left in the second quarter.

Toledo is shooting themselves in the foot with penalties. 4 for 25+ yards on CMU's last drive that was capped off by a LeFevour 2 yard run into the endzone.
14-14 tie with 11:43 left in the first half.

Toledo isn't good enough to overcome the refs. Not saying they don't deserve the penalties but if you are going to call everything you gotta do it on both teams.

LeFevour picks up another touchdown via the qb sneak.
21-14 Central Michigan with 7:03 remaining in the first half.

Are you kidding me, let's just give Central Michigan the MAC title while we are at it. 1 penalty for CMU vs over 10 for Toledo including several garbage calls. The last one was absolutely terrible as there was no pass interference.
LeFevour runs into the endzone from the 2 yard line again as CMU leads 35-14 at the end of the first half.

This game became ugly. LeFevour for his 6th touchdown of the night, 2 passing and 4 rushing.
To say I didn't see this coming would be an outright lie. In fact, if you look at the first post, you'll see my prediction being a blowout, or a close game. It's the former.
Chips lead 49-14 with 4:12 remaining in the 3rd quarter.

Final score, 56-28 in favor of the Chips. As I said, that turned ugly pretty quick.

It looks like Radcliff should be the starter for next year. But they have another QB on their roster already that could challenge him, and they're bringing in Macon from Steubenville. I'm hoping Ryan plays though.
