Just called up to get a house phone for my father. He has to be hooked up to one of those emergency help i have fallen devices. anyways while i was talking to the guy on the phone about it he said they have a deal with phone and all the major movie channels hbo, showtime, cinemax, and starz for 24.99 a month for 12 months. I just have basic cable and bottom of the line roadrunner and pay like 30 something a month. I agreed and told them once the service is over to cancel it. anyone else ever get a deal like this or is it not much of a deal at all lol.

it's a good deal, and TW is counting on you wanting to keep it after the 12 months are up--at the regular rate (@$40)

It is a good deal. Just be sure to call and cancel it when the deal is up if you don't want it anymore even if you told them to cancel it after the deal is over. A lot of the time that doesn't happen.
