Does anyone out there download movies/songs/tv shows/porn/games "illegally"? If so, what file sharing program do you use?

file sharing programs have gone the way of the dinosaur. Torrents are the way to go.

How do they work? I'm not familiar with them. Do you have to download a program? If so, could you recommend one?

Torrents are "file sharing" as well. The whole process of piracy for music/movies... is "file sharing". But that's beside the point. Yes, torrents are the big boys of piracy now that Limewire is gone. But that also makes them the RIAA and MPAA's biggest priority as well now. Just be careful, try not to download the latest movies a day after they come out, and try to use private trackers like Demonoid rather than the large public ones like The Pirate Bay which are where the RIAA and MPAA like to set their traps with baited torrents.

Or you can always try the newest way of downloading, One-click file hosting (rapidshare, megaupload).

btjunkie.org and demonoid.com. I only started using demonoid a couple days ago but it is solid. You have to have an invitation code to use it though and I think they only give them out once a month.

I get what you mean by that (if you mean file sharing programs with their own independent sharing networks/protocals) but you still need a torrent program to download torrents. Althought the choice is easy. uTorrent or bust.

Sweet thanks. How did you go about getting a code for demonoid?

You have to get one from a member. Like I said, they only give those out to members once a month I think.

I appreciate that. I went to use it and it just so happened they were allowing new users so I didn't have to use the code.

I usually use Demonoid. If they don't have what I'm looking for, I go to thepiratebay.
