When that happens, welcome to reality and welcome to the "humbleness" that Big Red so desperately preaches. Wake up and sniff the beans brother... You keep taking our athletes but sooner or later they are going to stay right where they are and throw it back at you. You can only hate so long and Mingo and Wintersville are coming around. What are you doing beside dwelling on your 2005/2006 dream seasons? Playoffs yes, state champs, hahaha.
Best of luck to you also, your still a valley team...
Glad you showed up in week 11 SOS. I like how in YOUR IC 2010 final season post you listed everything under the sun as to why you ended up 6-4 lol
"What are you doing beside dwelling on your 2005/2006 dream seasons?"....Well let me dwell on it for a moment.....ummmm let's see, we played for a Regional Championship in 07', played for a State Championship in 08', we were a State Semi-Finalist in 09' and well, will see where 2010 takes us.
The eye of our past is filled with memorable moments that we remember while adding to the tradition that is..... BIG RED FOOTBALL.
So sit back and take some notes. Cause IC got that "mathematically eliminated" thing down pat. Just go back on the chop and talk about next years installment of the "IC Underachievers" and predict a record of no worse than 7-3, no wait...more likely 8-2, possibly 9-1 or maybe a "DREAM SEASON" of 10-0. lol
Then when the season is done and the teams handing in their equipment. You can post on a forum a list of all the excuses as to WHY YOU STUNK:
1. Starting linebacker quit right before the season started.
2. Another went down and out for the season during a passing scrimmage right before the regular season started.
3. That shook up the defensive side of the ball significantly.
4. In week 2 we lost one of our best DB/WRs for the season with a neck injury.
5. Our best TE nursed an injured ankle all season long.
6. Had a starting O lineman out EVERY game this season. (Cue the violins)
7. Alex Young had a injured wrist.
8. The flu/sickness hit us hard.
9. We are a VERY young team.
10. Lacked experience.
11. Lacked heart.
12. It was hot early in the season.
13. It rained at times.
14. Then it got chilly.
15. If it's not Big Red whooping are skins, it's the Bellaire Big Reds doing it.
16. Star player got mono.
17. Bus ride to Oak Glen was too long.
18. Parents need to toughen up their kids.
19. Hard to obtain the lofty goals set by SOS.
20. WE STUNK.
