In late season 1995 Cal Ripken thrilled us by playing in his 2131st career game. Just about every baseball fan alive was watching ESPN that night......in the middle of the 5th inning he was given a 22 minute standing ovation by the crowd as he circled the entire playing field giving high fives to much of the front row.......

What song was being played as he was given the ovation and circling the field for high fives?

Why do I have a feeling it was Don't Stop Believin' by Journey or something along those lines?

Whitney Houston-

Beats me, I know it's not "Where do broken hearts go" or "I wanna dance with somebody"

Based on the above clues,
Whitney Houston..."One Moment in Time"...??

I like the mental picture of him trotting around Camden Yards to Sabbath's "Iron Man" though...really funny!
