It is hot and humid there. Upper 80's lower 90's year round with 70% humidity. I suppose that's what you get 80 miles from the equator. Fun city though.

Are you there on business or pleasure?

Business.

We might move there in January. Weird watching college sports live 12 hours away, then again Les Miles' coaching stinks 12 time zones away.

Aren't the laws in Singapore pretty absurd?

What the hell is that building in the background in photo #2? Why you moving there? Witness protection?

It's a casino if I remember correctly. A girl I graduated with had pictures of it on her FB page at one time, and I'm pretty sure the caption stated it was a casino.

LOL! The criminal justice system is a bit more strict there, but the reputation far exceeds reality. Unless you are pulling a Nate Newton-esqe tons of pot inporting, or otherwise committing a crime, you are fine.

I like to commit crimes. I'd never hack it over there.

That is correct, it is the Sands Hotel/Casino, the most expensive casino building created supposedly. Unfortnately we didn't have time to make it over there, but from what I understand the infinity pool/viewing area is pretty cool.

Indonesians are burning the brush, so in mid to late October there is a haze from the smoke. But apparently it actually is sunny every day. Fortunately the haze was only bad a couple of days, the rest of the time it wasn't that bad.

My wife's best friend since high school has been living in Singapore for over a year. They were just back for a few weeks late this summer. They were joking around with us about the "Four Floors of Whores". From what they hear the higher you go up the kinkier it gets.

S$ is about 80% of US$. But in many places you can use either. English is the 'national' language. It was easier for me to talk with people at restaurants/malls, etc. than it was for me to speak with people working on the street here in Virginia.

What time is it there? You posted last at 8:09 a.m. E.S.T, but what time is it there?

Very easy to remember, exactly 12 hours difference from the east coast of the U.S. (it literally is all the way around the world). So 8:30 a.m. here, it is 8:30 p.m. there. 8:30 p.m. here, 8:30 a.m. the next day there.
