Timmy's injury was just a "hyperflexed" knee. He came back in and finished the game, he went down in the 2nd quarter.

That is good news.

Cavs will snag him and then he will be a pussy and hold out from coming to the NBA again.

Even 2000 had Martin, who was consensus. 2001 was bed, but produced Gasol in the top 5 right?

I mean, who is going to go #1??? Perry Jones? Kyrie Irving?

Its tough to say as this years draft hasn't happened yet (aka dont know who's coming out yet), but as it stands, I would rather have a top pick this yr than in 2009 or even 2010. 2004 was a bad draft outside of Howard. I also like Derrick Williams to add to the so far consensus top 2 picks you've noted (Jones & Irving).

But even those years, you had a consensus no doubt #1 pick, even if they turn out bad. This year I don't think anyone would go top 5 the other years, even if they turn into all stars, going in, the draft seemed bad.

Consensus top picks:
2004 (Howard and Okafor)
2009 (Griffin)
2010 (Wall)

Wonder how much consideration will Sullinger get for the #1 pick?

Also, if you are the Cavs, do you go after Greg Oden this offseason?

I always thought Oden would be a decent fit in Miami. Obviously won't demand a huge contract given his injury history/production so far. He also won't really be counted on for offense other than what he gets off of offensive rebounds or drive and dish dunks from LeBron and Wade. Play defense and rebound and that's pretty much it. The Cavs could probably throw a lot more money at him so that will be an option, but I don't think they need to be taking chances on injury ridden players.

I think if you are the Cavs, you offer him a 2 year deal for more money than anyone else with a team option for a third year. The Cavs are in a position where they are going to have to overpay and they shouldn't have a problem with a high risk/high reward guy like Oden. If he is hurt and sucks, you are committed to two years, in which you are in rebuild mode anyways.

Is he healthy enough to play? I mean obviously he thinks he is, but any reports on how his rehab had been going? 10 days seems very, very early to me.

Doc Rivers said he wouldn't play if he wasn't cleared by the trainers. He is not starting but probably going to get 16 minutes or so off the bench & if all goes well he'll most likely travel with the team on the West Coast trip and hopefully we'll have Perk & Shaq in L.A... Semih has been playing great at Center but Idk bout him vs Pau & Bynum lol

Gotcha. I figured that was the case, but you know how some players can get.

Really wish I could find that post...

Anyway. The Jazz haven't cared about this game since the opening tip. It's very, very obvious they don't want to be in Staples tonight. And Shannon Brown just missed another nasty dunk lol

108-70, 8 minutes left.

Just looking at some extended standings stuff on ESPN.

Of the 5 elite teams in the League....Lakers, Heat, C's, Spurs...Well maybe only 4.

Games decided by 3 or less points...
Spurs 6-1
Celtics 6-1
Lakers 2-2
Heat 1-5

Games decided by 10 or more
Spurs 19-3
Celtics 16-2
Lakers 19-5
Heat 21-3

And the most telling....IMO
Games vs. above .500
Spurs 16-6
Celtics 14-5
Lakers 7-6
Heat 8-10

Games vs. below .500 teams
Spurs 22-1
Celtics 20-5
Lakers 25-7
Heat 23-3

What does this all say....
The Heat can't beat the good teams.

I was thinking the same thing when Blake got it the other night. I heard that stat and said no way it's only 47.
