Tomorrow Night @ 7:30 on TNT

The new look Heat open the season @ the defending and re-tooled Eastern Conference Champs. Normally opening night don't mean so much, but this game could set a early tone for the East. Thoughts?

SF - LeBron James
SG - Carlos Arroyo
PG - Dwayne Wade

Key Reserves:

Eddie House
Udonis Haslem

SF - Paul Pierce
SG - Ray Allen
PG - Rajon Rondo

Key Reserves:

Jermaine O'Neal
Nate Robinson

I laughed when I saw Joel Anthony was a starter. He is baaad. They're going to have to address that at some point. He is not going to cut it at center. I would be very interested in watching them play small and play their best 5.

PG Lebron
SG D-wade
SF Mike Miller (healthy Mike Miller of course)
PF Haslem
C Bosh

Any chance Stack can crack the starting 5 with MM out for a few months?

I'd say its possible, probably not right away since he just signed here in the past week

Right. I figured it wouldn't happen right away. But IMO he is a better piece than Anthony.

I'm usually that way too but this year is far more intriguing than any other NBA season in recent memory IMO. I'll actually watch some games early in the season.

Semih Erden --- how is he a key reserve? has he even stepped on an NBA court?

Semih has looked good in the 8 preseason games this year

6 points 5 Rebounds 2 Assists a game .... He is a nice 7 footer to have down low that is used to the European style and take the 18-20 foot shot which can open things up more.

Well I guess Erden is one of the 3 Inactives for opening night... Avery Bradley (ankle) Erden (Shoulder) & Perkins (Knee)

Me too. I'm usually a very casual NBA fan, but I am pumped for the regular season. It should be a fun year. So many storylines

I wish I could see SQ Crazies thoughts on the upcoming season. It's too bad he looked like a complete fool towards the end of the season to the extent that he couldn't show his face here anymore.

Yeah, but if you remember what a struggle it was to discuss anything with him if your opinion differed at all....you are better off.

Im actually much more interest in the ESPN Doubleheader Wednesday. Dont know why. I suppose its probably because I like the Thunder and Clipper players. I dont like the Bulls either, so I will want them to lose.

I agree that Joel Anthony isn't very good offensively, but IMO, he's exactly what they need at C.

He's a rebounding, good defensive big man who can block shots. They obviously won't need much scoring from the C spot with Wade, Bosh, and LBJ.
