"Lower body injury" that he suffered on Wednesday night. They were thinking it wouldn't keep him out of this game, but it looks like they're keeping him sidelined as a precautionary measure. I expect this will be the only game he misses.

Vermette with an early goal, but then the Avs come right back.

1-1 near midway through the 1st.

Went last night and brought the curse with me. It wasn't as ugly as 5-1 would indicate. Avs got 3 ugly goals and the Jackets missed about 3 open nets. I'd say I'm 7-17 in attending Jacket games. Got 3 good tickets in the lower bowl though for under a bill so not bad at all.

Yeah, classic hangover game. They were not crisp at all in the 2nd or 3rd.
Hopefully, the Jackets can quickly rebound.

Considering the Ducks have won 6 of the last 7, with the loss being in OT to the Hawks, I expect a loss or a least a close game.
Hopefully, the Jackets can pull out a W or OT and come away from the west coast trip with a winning record.

The Ducks have been outstanding as of late. Corey Perry has picked up his play a lot.

The game on friday could be a 2-1 score.

Haha, no one outside of Ducks fans do.
My good buddy is a Ducks fan, and has Center Ice. So, I'm heading over to his place to watch the game. Hopefully, the Jackets can continue to roll.

Neither do I. He's like Matt Cooke in a way, You only cheer for him if he's on your team.

Getzlaf and Ryan on the other hand, I love watching those two play.

Jackets win 4-3

Correy Perry sucker punches Vermette right at the final buzzer.

Great, great game by the Jackets. Mason stayed solid turning the most important parts of the game.
Good to see Nash get a goal and the other goals were pretty nice.

The last few minutes were crazy as the Ducks got all out pressure and got some good shots. The way the Jackets held their ground was impressive to me.

I think these two wins, against legit top teams, is pretty important as the Jackets can hopefully use it to spring them to stay in the race. Tough game though against the Sharks tonight. But, the roadtrip was positive.

And yes, Correy Perry is a huge douche.

Huge win for the Jackets again last night, Mason was unbelieveable. 3rd period was dominated by the Ducks but somehow he managed to keep those pucks out somehow or another. I thought Filatov looked lost out there on numerous occasions.
That was a bush league play by Perry on Vermette but thats what I like to see a frustrated Ducks team that means the Jackets did what they wanted to do. Not sure about SJ tonight they are rested and waiting. Be nice to squeeze a point out of them but 2 w's so far I ain't mad at you.

Some intresting tidbits here:

-The Jackets have the best road record in the NHL

-Rostislav Klesla leads the league in +/-

-Only 4 points seperates The #1 team (Detroit, 26points) in the west to the #11 (Chicago, 22points)

-The Jackets are off to the best start in franchise history.

Come on Jackets, hold on to this one .. has a three game California sweep ever happened for Columbus? It would be huge, even if it's "just" early season.
