Didnt they end up dropping his case about buying a stolen laptop? I never heard why he left UF and if it was before or after the court ruling.

I think he got some kind of probation and had to do some schooling or counseling or some shit like that. He completed it all and the charges were dropped (could be wrong). He announced he was transferring before all of that was settled and his dad, who did most of the talking for him, always claimed it was more about playing time (naturally, the whole theft thing was a big misunderstanding).

The question posed was If Cam Newton was still a Gator and seeing as how "if he was still a Gator" then I don't think he would be as good because Florida can't even get the ball snapped back to their Qb when he's in shotgun.
