From the article above looks like 31 of the 52 points came from Zach and Devon. That’s what I thought should happen 60% of the points coming from the bigs. How was the shooting from outside?

That's pretty quick to play after the FB season just ended for them. They'll get it together. Just out of curiosity could Orrville have pushed the opener back if it wanted to.

Yes I am sure we could've pushed it back...but the only way we do that is if we were playing this past Friday....the football kids are still in shape from Football (even though basketball shape is different) No need to put importance on this first non league game. Go in get the first one out of the way and move on. I'm sure coaches and players are not too worried about last night's game either. Hopefully Wasson and Winters will be a force in the paint along with Pirman. Winters can be a great player, just has to put some meat on those bones and get in the weightroom.

When was the last time we had 5 guys over 6'3"? I love the height of this team, and we can win a lot of games because of it!
Wasson
Winters
Brenner
Seiler
Pirman

Add 10 more for Drew Brenner and that's 41 of 52 from the bigs, Graber 8 and Perez 3. We had 6 of 8 on the free throw line, Shelby 18 of 32 free throws , hmmmmmm?

Shelby 16 made baskets from the floor, we had 21 made and only 8 free throw attempts, they had 32 free throw attempts. Must have been a football game, and mild mannered Sly gets a technical. hummmmm.

I think that with all our "bigs", we are going to have to watch out for the "going for the blocked shot business". The bigs will have to learn to get position and put the hands up and make the opponent shoot over them. Then turn and get the rebound.

Side note: my little cheerleader daughter told me that the Shelby student section was cheering at the end...."Too much....Foot-ball" clap clap....clap clap clap

Wow! How clever. (that's sarcasm.....btw)

Its more interesting the names not in the scoring column: Turner, Ray, Groves. Are Simpson and Rice playing? Our conference is struggling out of the blocks were 2-6 and Senior took an 86-46 beat down. Yea it was Northland, but Sullinger is at OSU.

Are you kidding me? They whipped on the Tygers like that? Believe it or not: Simpson is going out for the Swim team and Rice is not going out for anything...as of this moment.

Starters were: Winters, Wasson, Ray, Groves, Perez. Brenner finished the game and had a dunk.

They (Northland) still have their PG. And after seeing them at state 2 years ago, it didn't appear there was any shortage of talent or size on their roster. However, Sullinger and Weatherspoon were a LOAD!

Hey, at least your best player didn't get fouled after the buzzer and is now out for 4-6 weeks. Ugh...sounds like a McCreary call. LOL...I feel better now!
