The idea is to keep people away from the court and with feet sticking out others walk on the court and wet shoes wet the court. Now if you were sitting there with a towel and wiping wet spots and popcorn ....:) So everything has to make sense to you or else it doesn't matter, it's no wonder you haven't the time to cheer like the rest of us do:)

Since then they have cut that number back to I believe 1,200-1,300 so they can have more room around the perimeter of the court....so you can walk behind the bench etc...and not have to walk directly on the court.

We'll make a special center court seat for the one and only....maybe make some sort of contraption that everytime Orrville scores, a pin or nail pops out of the seat and pokes him so he will stand up and cheer :D
There are towels on the floor at the stadium entrance for people to wipe their feet off.
When people walk by I have the courtesy and common sense to not have my feet extended into the walkway.
Whether I'm there or not, people are going to walk onto the court.
THE SAME SITUATION EXISTS ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE COURT AND IT IS MORE EXEMPLIFIED!

Like rr1 said, "lots of Orrville fans could use that", "contraption"! r1, again, why were "YOU" so quiet Friday? Was that loss too much for you to bear?

Was that you sitting to my right with the sour-puss face? LOL!

Might have an update to these coming real soon........

And if I had it to do over...I'd put "RED RIDERS" on the jerseys, not just "RIDERS"

I think white pants would be more realistic if we had turf. One more reason....

I'm Victor Newman. ;-)

Hey RR1: I heard your name mentioned on the radio today in conjunction with the Hall of Fame nominations. Very cool!

^^I've had a few other people tell me that. It's a press release that the OHS HOF sent to the papers and the radio.

I haven't heard it myself yet.

March 1 is the deadline for HOF nominations. Don't complain when someone you think should be in doesn't get nominated.

Ringz,
The announcement was pointing people to my blog to download the nomination form. (head over to "my name's" Red Rider Sports Blog)

If I'm being nominated for the HOF.....something is SERIOUSLY wrong.

The Class of 2011 wont be announced for another few months

Yeah, I guess I didn't make that very clear. However, I could one day see your picture hanging in the OHS lobby as an Outstanding Alumnus!

Oh my oh my oh my!

Well, one thing I enjoyed tonight was the "pow wow" at the media table among the Big 3 of the OC: FDR, Churchill and Stalin. I don't know who was who, but I guess I would probably be Stalin. ;-)

The other thing I enjoyed was seeing all the seniors with their parents being honored.

^^^NOPE! Orrville lost! Can't you tell by how quiet and absent the Orrville "chatters" have become!

I don't understand the point of elevating sophomores from JV to Varsity when as JV players, they weren't winning and their is no improvement in the Varsity with them getting so much playing time. He's suiting up 15 guys and playing 8 - 9. Turnovers, missed layups and free throws, poor defense...

Then, one guy comes in and gets you 5 quick points, shooting 66%, (fg, 3 pointer, mssed 3 pointer), and he pulls him out to play no more, but the elevated sophomores...

This might shock you, but I actually agree. The one you are talking about is a good player. I don't get it.

I too enjoyed the pow wow of the Big 3....I did feel eyes watching us from across the gym! :D

We scored 17 points in the second quarter, but then only 18 in the entire second half.

IMO, Wasson didn't touch the ball enough...our players are waiting to long to pass it to him. They need to look at him first and get the pass off quick. Max was not even involved tonight. Mitchell got the scoring going for us, but then we didn't see him the rest of the game....I agree we have to many guys on the bench and just gives us a reason to question who should be out there. We all know their should've been more cuts than what were made.

As for the young guys.....why not get them the varsity experience. It's not like the upperclassmen are much better, Looking towards the future I guess.
