Could be interesting.
Michigan State coming off the big win at Michigan.
But Illinois has the athletes to compete and they also are coming off a big win at Penn State.

3-0 Illinois
early on
it looks like Michigan State is lacking the enthusiasm so far, after some emotional highs the past few weeks, lazy atmosphere in the stadium
Illinois usually comes ready to play. I will say that about Zook but sometimes they're over amped and make stupid mistakes. It's been good so far in this game.

So far illinois is playing msu tough, up 3-0 and driving. With Illini beating PSU, and if they can knock off MSU, the Buckeyes "close" win wont look bad at all.

Maybe Illinois' defense is just a little better than we thought

it seems like they have a lot of interchangeable people on defense
linebackers and defensive backs that are about the same size with good speed
and then some rangy, athletic types on the d-line
MSU has a lot of offensive weapons and good balance which makes it a pretty good matchup

Yeah, they just seem to be a decent athletic defense. I definitely think they have the athletes to run with Michigan

Illinois always has athletes. Zook is just an awful game day coach much of the time. And Illinois' defense is definitely solid. They held Missouri to 23 points (after throwing 3 picks) in a 10 point loss, and would have won if it wasn't their freshman QB's first ever game.

It is painful to watch games on BTN. Sucks because this is the best game on at the moment.

I was gonna say, Illinois keeps running plays where the QB has to fade away or he rolls to the sidelines and runs out of room and has to chuck one up
but that one was just a straight pass and he threw it right to Michigan State
so I guess it doesn't matter
