It's time for the Dutchman to get the nod....and Alomar on the first try.....but it's going to be tough for any of these guys to get to get 75%.

I cannot understand why Bert Blyleven isn't already in the Hall.

This.

I think Alomar will get in eventually and probably Larkin as well.

Blyleven burned a lot of bridges during his career, hence him still being on the outside.

IMO Blyleven, Alomar, and Mattingly have the best chance out of these nominees, with Larkin being close.

I'm a Mariners fan and Edgar was one of my favorites growing up, but I think getting hurt and ending up as a DH only is going to hurt him. If he would have been able to continue to play the field I think he would have a won a few gold gloves which would help him.

Blyleven already overlooked for too long; do the right thing and elect!
Larkin should make it eventually...but he may remain on the edge until his last years, like Jim Rice did.
Alomar should be in.
Maybe this IS the year for the veteran's committee to look at Dave Concepcion again!

Last year Blyleven had 62% and Dawson had 60%....after Robbie, they are all just fish in a barrel. I don't see any more than 2 guys getting in on the regular ballot, as votes get split up pretty even.

Larkin, Blyleven, Alomar, and Raines (heck, he's only the second-best leadoff man in history and would already be in if not for Rickey Henderson).

I will never understand the attention for Mattingly and Dawson. The four guys I named above are among the ten best all-time at their positions...would Mattingly and Dawson crack the top-20? Not likely.

Raines among the 10 best all-time leftfielders to play the game???
hmmmm.................no.

For that matter, if that is your criteria for inclusion, I'm not sure that either Blyleven or Larkin make that mark, although I agree they are deserving of the honor.

Unfortunately for Raines, his reputation is one of a somewhat one-dimensional player, although his ability to hit for average early in his career is unquestioned.

I doubt he will ever be inducted...one of many excellent players who nonetheless are not HOFers.
Clearly Mattingly and Dawson do not have the resume if you look at past inductees.
