Love it, but it should've been a penalty.

If wright would have Luck like that, it would have been.

If that was OSU player making a tackle like that in the Indiana game it would have been a penalty...

This makes me smile. :) Too bad this game wasn't on TV on TWC in Chillicothe, it was a hell of a lot better than Miami-Florida State.

Future Browns QB.

And no penalty on that hit.

it's only a penalty if the refs that had the OSU/IU game had this one..they were extremely flag-happy

He lead with the helmet to the head of the defender. By the letter of the law, it was a penalty. Pause the video @ :55 and it's obvious.

It probably should have been a penalty, but no one is going to throw a flag on a QB making a tackle after a turnover like that.

Regardless, he obviously played safety or linebacker in high school and just went back into the mode at that point.

His helmet hit exactly on the football. When it becomes illegal to put your hat on the football, then we all play soccer.

Not sure which video you are watching, but his helmet didn't touch the football, and it really wasn't even close to it.

+1.

Do a pause at 42 seconds(have to be fast) and you will see it.

It was only helmet-to-helmet because the defender (now the ball carrier) was low to the ground.

No penalty imo, and obviously in the refs opinion as well.

If that is a penalty, they should make it illegal for any contact whatsoever and they might as well play 2 hand touch.

Like Speilman said on Sat after Klein's hit..."might as well put flag belts on everyone".

Awesome hit.

Random. I'm reminded of the line in "Remember the Titans" when Sunshine Ronnie Bass comes in the game for the first time and the defender comes unblitzed through the line, and goes over Bass. The opposing coach said to the ref, "That's roughing, a penalty." The ref replies, "On the Quarterback, coach?" lol.

Same thing here. Are you really going to call that on the quarterback?

Shouldn't be a penalty. The helmet-to-helmet rules and penalties are getting ridiculous IMO.

Think he might consider coming to Michigan to play D? :)

You know whats funny is I thought of the same thing haha.

Man that hit was a good one. It's awesome that Luck also knocked the ball out too bad Stanford couldnt have recovered it.

Luck has Ohio ties - his dad played QB for St. Ignatius in the late 70's - early 80's.

His dad is actually a pretty big deal now.
