BLUFFTON — Hunter Joseph completed 9 of 19 passes for 248 yards to help Bluffton blank Spencerville 30-0 in a Northwest Conference football game Friday.

Bluffton’s Joseph set a school record for the longest touchdown pass as he hooked up with Matt Lee on a 97-yard score. The old Bluffton (4-3, 3-2 NWC) record was a 95-yard pass from John Tabler to Jay Stratton set in 1982.

Joseph also connected with RJ Stratton on a 51-yard score. Drew Luginbuhl and Jeremy Basinger scored on rushes of 20 and 1 yards.

Lee recorded two catches for 114 yards for Bluffton. Jesse Gudakunst had 6 rushes for 66 yards and Jeremy Basinger recorded 11 tackles to lead the defense.

Austin Lotz had 24 carries for 67 yards for Spencerville (0-7, 0-6).
