VAN BUREN — Cam Brown went over 100 yards rushing for the sixth time and Thayne Recker caught two touchdown passes as Arlington rolled to a 27-0 Blanchard Valley Conference win over Van Buren on Friday night.
Brown rushed for 150 yards and scored on touchdown runs of 1 and 23 yards for the Red Devils (4-3 overall, 4-2 BVC).
Recker caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Cheney and a 15-yard scoring strike from Blaiz McBride.
Arlington’s defense played well as the Red Devils held Van Buren to 94 yards in the shutout.
Ryan Adolph was 5 of 23 passing for 45 yards for the Black Knights (1-6, 1-5) and Zane Keiffer added 56 rushing yards on 16 carries.
Arlington’s Tyson Spence (67 yards) and Matt Cheney (32) combined for 99 yards rushing as well for the Red Devils, which rushed for 252 yards as a team.
