Could someone from Steubenville please tell me why they play so many out of state teams? I know they are near the Ohio/WV/Pen border, but still why play those out of state teams? Is it because nobody wants to play them in Ohio, is it so they have 8 home games, or what? They only play 2 teams from Ohio.

I am just really curious as to what the reasoning behind this is.

fair enough thank you for that! It's a shame they have to play out of state teams though. Ohio teams need to grow a pair and man up. Why don't you guys play any big Ohio parochial schools? I'm sure they are not afraid to play you.

Just read through the thread and you'll have the answer to every question you have. If its not there then come back and i'm sure someone will answer it for you, but I'm pretty sure every question under the Sun was asked on that thread!

Well a few years ago we played I think six private schools . Id rather not play Mooney until the semis but if we scheduled them so be it. We have already exhausted most of the local public schools. We picked up Massillon a few years ago we have played a top big school WPIAL power the last two years . Look at our history . We have played Cinci St X , Middltown , Toledo Central , several Cleveland powers . Akron powers , Columbus powers . We havent been a shy team . Alot of our detractors would have us play 10 teams in the USA top 25. People will not be happy until we start taking beatings. We have the best coaching staff in Ohio and we put a very good team on the grid every year . But we are not a huge school anymore and depth would be an issue if we played St Edwards schedule. We plan on playing 5 playoff games. Look at how many points we have on Eitel. Its more than most D-1 first place teams.
