and it was against Alabama for the BCS title game, who would you choose? Would you rather have D. Robinson, Pryor, Mallet, Kellen Moore, Cam Newton, or Taylor Martinez. Lets just say the team is TCU that you are putting the QB on so we dont have any bias answers.

I hardly ever watch TCU so I don't know what kind of system that they typically run... but even given that. I think TCU would just be better off keeping their normal QB because he's used to working with his WR's, RB's, and linemen. Throwing in a completely fresh QB into a system without ever playing with the guys before sounds like a recipe for disaster...

But hey, that's just me.

Agree. It would be insane to try to stick one of these other QB's on TCU's team for one game. No way would they have the chemistry to beat an Alabama team.

I can tell you that I would not choose Les Miles to be the coach of this hypothetical team.

Tie between Kellen Moore and Pryor.
Assuming a static, pro style offense with decent receivers and a decent Oline.

Ok, let me rephrase your question for you since some people can't get over the idea of putting another Q on an actual team. Instead, let's pretend that we're choosing a QB for a hypothetical team that doesn't actually exist running whatever offense is best suited for each particular QB going up against Alabama in the title game.

In that case I would take Kellen Moore because

They can clone people now, since McElroy would be playing himself?

Its a hypothetical question. Hypothetically yes. How often do QBs play against each other?

Strange to me that nobody wants to pick Jordan Jefferson or Jarrett Lee.

Saban's favorite defense is Cover 1 with a Robber. Consequently, against a pro-style set he normally has 8 men on 7. Against a one back with a slot he's got 7 on 6. Hence, having a QB who is a running threat equalizes this advantage. At the same time, in the pass game, Saban's Robber can duplicate as a spy and help neutralize the scrambling of a QB. Hence, I think I'd like a guy like Andy Dalton who has shown a propensity to avoid bad decisions but is also a running threat and can bring the numbers game back in favor. As much as I love the Bucks...terrible decision's like Pryor makes from time to time put the nail in the coffin against a Saban team. I have been impressed with Denard Robinson's passing and decision making thus far though and might go with him. This season I have yet to see him have a moment where I say "Jeez what are you doing!"

That's kinda why I would want Luck. He's a very underrated runner, and a smart kid that makes good decisions most of the time.

I'd take Pryor, and that team would probably win the SEC.

Saturday was the first time I have seen Pryor in person and he's freaking huge. The idea of that size coming downfield at full speed should strike fear into the heart of any DB in the country.

McElroy is probably the guy I would pick if we are allowed to. Against Alabama, your passing windows are tight and close quickly, so you have to be extremely accurate and get rid of the ball quickly. That eliminates Pryor, Newton, Martinez, and Denard. A running QB would be nice to have, but it isn't going to beat Alabama. Kellen Moore has the accuracy, but doesn't have the arm to fit the ball in those tight windows. Mallett has the arm, and has improved his accuracy, but he will choke when the game is on the line. McElroy has the arm, accuracy, and decision making that would be successful against a defense like Alabama.
