Cheapshot on a defenseless receiver. Should be suspended.

I believe the NFL is cracking down on shots to the head, which is what that was called.

If it was a Steeler, he would of been suspended for 4 games. You know, Goodells plan to keep the AFC north competitive.

It was a split second reaction. He doesn't deserved to be fined.

I disagree. This is exactly what that rule was designed for. The ball had hit the ground by the time Ward hit him...definitely could have held up. With that being said....I absolutely loved it(since it didn't cost them the game)

Vegas is betting hard on the Browns, as Atlanta opened as only a 3 point favorite. Everybody and their brother will be on Atlanta.

I've been trying to find out some info on him, seems that he has some talent esp rushing the QB, but decent injury history. He's still young, 26, so maybe a rotational guy.

TJ Ward fined $15,000 for the hit. I'm ok with that, because those types of plays will earn him millions in the long run!

Amen. As long as he isn't suspended I like the intimidation factor that this hit may now bring.

Biggest LOL of the day yesterday was a story on Ward on PFT. That Pereira guy (former head ref) from the NFL Network said the league should "drop the hammer on Ward" or something to that effect. In the comments section, it looked like a Bengals fan saying "Ward is a bully picking on little Shipley (when Ward & Shipley's sizes aren't much different). He should try that with one of the 'big boys' like TO or Ocho." A fan (assuming Browns fan) retorted..."well in order for Ward to 'try that with one of the big boys like TO or Ocho', one of them would actually have to have the balls to come across the middle to GET hit."

Suh gets $5k for his powerslam of Delhomme. Right, something doesn't fit here. I bet its bc the bungals were crying so much.

Suh got a slap on the wrist.

If this would have been Whines Hard, Princess Troy or Killer Ray Lewis delivering that (Ward) hit the league would have called it a "hard nosed football play."

That probably wasn't verbatim but the poster defending Shipley implied that Shipley was an innocent "fawn" like Bambi and Ward was the Big Bad Wolf.

Closer we get to gameday the better shot I think we have a chance to win this game. I'm not thrilled with Delhomme behind center though, I think it all comes down to his play and god forbid Eric Wright. Eric Wright plays like he has, and Roddy White will abuse him.

I'm wooried about rust/timing with Delhomme. Wallace hasn't set the world on fire but he is settling into a bit of a groove.

Roddy White scares the HELL out of me.

There are always those games where, on paper, you play a team that you shouldn't beat but you do. This could be one of them. I won't say the Cincy game was one of them because the Bengals are so Jekyl & Hyde that they can be beaten almost any Sunday depending on which Cincy team shows up.
