Didn't see a thread on this yet, but tonight's episode IMO was horrible. It was the first time I had never LOL'd during the show. I wasn't really following what Pam was up the whole time, either? Pretty crappy start to the season. If it doesn't turn around in another week or two I may have to ditch it.

Yeah last week's was not a masterpiece at all and it was still far better than this episode. I laughed when Michael was talking about ALF, but that was about it.

Think back to season 2 and season 3, do you think Dwight would ever let the office dress him up so he could go to the mall with Jim?

What about the fact that Andy was engaged to Angela and Dwight was tagging her the whole time they were engaged? Think that a normal person would A) still be working there? or B) be civil enough to go to the mall with the dude who was tagging her

The Pam new job subplot was very boring and not funny. The only positive was that I thought Michael was going to pin the evaluation issue on him and get him fired.

I didn't think it was terrible. The Pam subplot wasn't great, but I thought some of the stuff with Michael and Toby was pretty funny. "Take two of these and call me in the morning" while he gave Toby the double bird. And he called Toby a "bitch". Not high class humor, but that still made me laugh.

The episode was just strange....the show is practically unrecognizable compared to a few years ago.

Agree with everyone else. This was by far the worst episode ever.

at least last week you had the dwight in the elevator sequence. the only thing this episode had was the day care scene with the buckets.

definitely needs to buck up. Last season had some great moments and left a lot of potential golden stories, not really cashing them in yet.

Newer fans are still going to think the show is ok...but those on board since it's inception know it's best days are several season behind it.

Writing is horrid compared to it's early days. Not the same since several writers left to write for the equally terrible Parks and Rec.

If not for Friday Night Lights...there'd be nothing good on NBC.

Has Parks and Recreation been cancelled?

I admit that I have gotten a chuckle out of Outsourced. Not sure if it will last, but it is better than I expected.

Aziz Ansari tweeted a few weeks ago:
Those asking about Parks & Rec: Don't worry, we'll be back soon with great episodes. In the meantime, go here: http://bit.ly/clKknM

Outsourced would be way better if the lead guy wasn't a douche. They need the salesman dude Diedrich Bader from on that show to be the lead, that would be awesome. And you can already see a stupid love story blooming between douche and a couple other women. Seinfeld never had Jerry get serious with anyone for a reason, and only used Elaine and Georges relationships in a comedic way. Never once did you want to Elaine and Puddy to get back together because it was meant to be, like the office did with Jim and Pam.

^^^

That part of the show was pretty good (the Toby-Michael banter). The other 2 subplots - Pam creating a new position and Dwight's "Pretty Woman" transformation were completely out of character and just plain odd. That may be the worst acting I've seen from Rainn Wilson, Ed Helms and John Krasinski, it was almost as if they knew the writing was terrible and just mailed it in.

Have never thought the show was that funny to begin with. Good for the occasional laugh. Don't see where it has lost something it never really had.

It's definitely not what it was in seasons 1-3, but I still get alot of laughs out of it. Gabe needs to go, and Daryl needs to go back to the warehouse(which has been cut completely out of the show).
