Is it acceptable for a married person to have a facebook avatar of said person embracing a member of the opposite gender that isn't his/her spouse, and that person doesn't happen to be a celebrity like Chuck Norris or Nick Mangold?
I think it is pretty fouled up. My wife agrees. One of my wife's co-workers doesn't think it is a big deal.

What kind of hug are we talking about? Hugging close friends or family? Or are we hugging random girls at bars?

This.
But if I'm going to be hugging a chick in my profile pic, it for sure would be my spouse/GF; and any other chick.

A very fair question, and to the point. It is a pic after an athletic achievement, but there is significant body contact as evidenced in the photo.chicago510;502748 wrote:What kind of hug are we talking about? Hugging close friends or family? Or are we hugging random girls at bars?

It's my wife's direct report, so I don't want to post it. I can describe it, it is a pic of them hugging very closely after finishing a 5K. I can understand them running it together (note, the guy is unrelated to her and isn't gay), I don't think there is anything wrong with the picture, I just think it is odd she has it as her avatar.

Being physically active and competing in sports are both things linked with high sex drives... ever hear the stories about the Olympic Village?

Who are you kidding, you'd hit it even if she didn't.

1th...running and activities like that do bring out the hormones. Back in the day when I was vaguely athletic, it was called "runners' high". From personal experience, I could tell you that right after running a few miles, I felt totally fucking alive...like I had no limits. That's more directed to GD's post, as back in my running days, I even read a running magazine column talking about how running releases those "sex hormones" into you and from personal experience, I can say that a good "post-athleticstuff" fuck is a great thing.
2rd...when it comes to something like this, the only thing that matters is the trust issue. As in, do you feel she's just proud of this athletic deal she did and has an avatar celebrating it, or are you worried she's doing/done/strongly-considering-doing the dude in the pic? That's the big thing. If it's just something she's proud of and her pic has some guy who was there, it's one thing...if that guy has a role in her life that is a cause of conflict/insecurity, that's another.

I don't see the problem with it. What if it's her husbands best friend? What if it's someone she's been friends with for 30 years??

Maybe the guy was a breast cancer survivor (guys can get it too...) and it was immediately after Race for the Cure?

Yeah I don't really see the big issue unless the husband really doesn't trust her (or him or both of them together). wildcats does cry when I don't have him in my prof pic...but if he had a pic with one of his besties (both girls) I wouldn't really care.

No way does this story end happy!
As former coach Bum Phillips says... "you caaan't let that happen , or you are gonna have more hell over it... than a little bit"

Although I don't think that it means anything is going on, I still wouldn't make that choice myself. It's not about trust, it just would seem kinda odd to me.
