McCOMB — Andrew Dee threw three first-quarter touchdown passes and the McComb defense held Vanlue to minus yardage on the ground in an easy 65-0 Blanchard Valley Conference victory Friday night at Doc Miller Field.

Dee was 16 of 23 passing on the night for 233 yards and five touchdowns as the unbeaten and No. 6-ranked Panthers rolled to their sixth straight victory and improved to 5-0 in the BVC.

Dee’s early success came on 1- and 8-yard tosses to Taylor Hanes and 44-yard hook up with Austin Inbody. Before the quarter ended, Cody Wilson ran 27 yards for a TD and a 28-0 McComb lead.

Dee’s other two TDs were on an 8-yard pass to Mason Roth and an 11-yard aerial to Hanes in the second quarter.

Jerry Brown, who rolled up 125 yards in just eight carries, had a 16-yard scoring run in the second quarter as well.

McComb capped off the night with an 88-yard kickoff return by Inbody, a 3-yard run by Brown and a 6-yard Clay Dysert pass to Mike Cortez.

On the night, the Panthers netted 210 yards rushing and 280 passing, while their defense forced Vanlue (2-4, 1-4) into minus-101 yards rushing.

Vanlue’s Dillon Kliesch was 11 of 31 passing for 139 yards and three interceptions. Roth had two of those picks.
