VAN BUREN — Brandon Lucas recorded 18 carries for 133 yards and three touchdowns as Van Buren fell 27-22 to Arcadia in a Blanchard Valley Conference football game Friday night.
Arcadia is now 3-3 overall, 2-3 in the BVC while the Black Knights fall to 1-5, 1-4 BVC.
Casey Mock connected with Trevor Coleman on TD passes of 60 and 12 yards, Mock also scored on an 11-yard rush for the Redskins. Lane Mellott scored on a 16-yard carry in the fourth quarter to provide the winning margin.
Van Buren’s Ryan Adolph hooked up with Lucas on a 11-yard and 2-yard scoring passes. Lucas also scored on a 22-yard rush. Drew Ashcraft kicked a 22-yard field goal for a another score.
Zane Kieffer had 2 receptions for 36 yards for the Black Knights.
Mock completed 5 of 15 passes for 97 yards for Arcadia. Lucas Whitta had 14 rushes for 56 yards and Coleman pulled down 3 receptions for 87 yards.
