I hated this day when I wrestled. I would eat and then have to run all night to lose the weight! With the Alpha weight now, it shouldn't be as bad.

Yeah...after seeing the kids plates today I wished I told them to drop a weight class!! For parents wrestling can be very economical over the holidays

My son ate a medium sized salad and finally relented and put some turkey in his salad. He was fine with it, but it broke my heart! LOL He has the drive and determination and I commend him for that, but I know how much he likes to eat and it was hard to watch.
I hope everyone had a happy and healthy Thanksgiving and now....
Let the games begin!

I told my team this year that if the two worst things about wrestling are the fact that you cannot practice overindulgence of food and candy on Thanksgiving and Christmas, then I'll take it! The positives of the sport outweigh (ha! outweigh!!!) the negatives 100-fold!

I am done trying to get my son to loose even 1 pound! He is tall, lean and has no self control when it comes to gummy worms (especially the sour ones) It's time to jump up a weight class and eat like a piggy!
I hope everyone had as wonderful a Thanksgiving as I did.
