Lady D'Friskies and I were vacationing in Oregon and Washington for the last two weeks - we just stumbled into Astoria, Oregon last weekend during the Commercial Fishermen's Festival. The big attraction were appearances by most of the "Deadliest Catch" crews - we happen to be in town the same afternoon as Captains Jonathan and Andy .
It looked as if they were enjoying themselves tremendously, and seemed to very outgoing and down-to-earth. They came off as exactly the same characters as shown on the show - although they stated that you could not help but be yourself with amount of time they spend in front of the cameramen on the boat under those conditions.
My understanding was that they donated their appearance fees to a fund for the families of lost/injured fisherman. The brothers also raffled off a Harley trip for two riders the following day with the proceeds also going to charity - when we left, they had over 125 takers signed up at $100 per ticket.
Tidbid - apparently some of the DC crews are making more $$ from TV revenues and appearances than from fishing - and that there is a --lot-- of jealousy among the fleet about some of the crews "going Hollywood"

Maybe this?
"Also as part of the deal, the Hillstrands have agreed to finish work on "Hillstranded," the spinoff that prompted the standoff."
