Four teams in a row for the Big 10
Iowa, Michigan, Penn State, Michigan State... interesting.
I would probably put the Spartans ahead of PSU for right now. Penn State is struggling a bit even against their cupcake OOC (except Alabama of course). Also, interesting to see that Oregon has jumped TCU.
I'm really not sold on anyone in 7-14... but then again, someone has to be there. Also, I have no idea why Texas is ahead of Miami. Texas got spanked to an unranked team @ home. Miami was thoroughly beaten (score was a bit deceiving in favor of Miami) by the #2 team on the road. Miami should be ahead of Texas.

I really just can't figure out the logic behind being constrained to the projections of the preseason rankings. So we just throw teams out like throwing darts on a board, then cling to those projections like they are the holy grail of picks made by Ms. Cleo.
Can't we clean the slate each week and put teams where they deserve? Example..If TCU would have started the year at #13, people wouldn't blink an eye if they were at #10 now. But if they would have played terrible and fell to #15 after being ranked #3 people would be appalled.
It's only 4 weeks in.. why can't the top 25 be much more fluid?

OSU would only be like 10th. So no.

They'd have to be behind Miami.

So beating BYU allows you to crack the top 25? Or maybe Nevada is there to help bolster Boise's existence at the end of the year...shenanigans I say.

Eh I have no problem with Nevada sneaking in at 25. They have their offense clicking again (how long has Kaepernick been there) and they are actually trying to play defense and doing a decent job of it. Its not like they jumped in at 15 or anything. Look at the teams in the others receiving votes and there isn't much there either.

Exactamundo. Nevada could end up being Boises toughest opponent.

Oklahoma needs dropped and big time they are no where near a top ten team.

Couple things, the SEC is the only conference with 2 1 loss teams ranked, what a freaking joke. Northwestern and NC State deserve to be ranked over those clowns.
Seriously, what has Arkansas or South Carolina done to be deserve to be ranked, especially with 1 loss?
Penn State shouldn't be ranked, then are awful. Miss St, the only team with 2 losses even getting a vote? Typical SEC bullshit, the most overrated conference year in, year out.

I completely agree with that. They looked bad yesterday against a bad Cinci team.

Penn State and Iowa are both ranked. I'm sure this is just an oversight on your part, considering how often you are correct.

Exactly. This is just another reason why using a computer system to decide your national championship is a joke.
With that being said, the P-10 looks for real this year.

I said Penn State sucks, they shouldn't be ranked. Iowa shouldn't be either, but honestly, Iowa will probably finish the season right where they are so I don't have a big problem with it.

Are they ranked or not? You said it was a joke that the SEC was the only conference with two 1 loss teams ranked. You were wrong again.

I still think Nebraska plays for the BCS title. They're in pretty good position at this point in the season.

Where's ND ranked with their stellar 1-3 record? LOL
Enjoy your bowl loss.

They did not impress me that much yesterday, but they have a lot back from last year and until someone beats them they will be the #1 team in the country. They deserve it, defending national champs and have not lost in like 18 straight regular season games or something like that. Totally disagree about their QB, he had a bad day yesterday but that kid hasn't lost a game since Jr. High. You have to be pretty good to do that.ccrunner609;498228 wrote:Agree, Bama shouldnt be #1......their QB is horrible and their D is prone to be attacked by a team that can establish the run.

I'm not saying they are ranked. You can't admit that you were wrong and are trying to spin it by saying something that you've said 50 times already.

Oregon jumped TCU..... Looks like the pollsters are putting them in position to jump Boise at the end of the year if OSU/Bama falters.
