not bad for a true Freshman. 5 rushing and 1 receiving.

A QB scores 6 TD's and not one of them was a pass. I would call that a RB lining up in the wildcat all day.

I heard Tim Tebow gave him head after the game, talk about still leading that team

Brantley had a career best game. 24/35, 248yds, 1td, 1int, off a deflection. His first int. in 150 throws.
Burton 5 rushes, 40 yds, longest run 11 yds, 8.0 avg, 5 TD's.; 5 catches, 37 yds, 1 td, ; Passing 1/1 42 yds.
I had a blast. Perfect tailgating and game night. Except for Demps' foot and the whole Oline's ankles and knees. If they all can't heal this week the Tide will roll. Meyer really outcoached Joker except for the fake fg Ky got 7 on. Meyer said that was just a good play, he's seen it before, but never had it happen to him. He told the coaches upstairs they have to see that and yell time out, they can't see it as easy from the sidelines. I think the team has potential, the improvement is coming from players and coaching. Backup center Sam Robey played the 4th qtr, has 5 high school teammates on Kentucky's team. His dad was on a #1 hoops team at UK and played 10 years in the NBA. Glad to see things go well so Meyer can sub the whole second team. Bostic is a true soph LB, kid is never out of position, got another int. today. He could have a dozen tackles next week. Gators have a really good Dline. It'll be up to the LB's to stop Ingram and Richardson. Look for a lot of 5-2 defense by the Gators. Julio Jones vs Janoris Jenkins will be a clinic.

Wonder if this leads to increased playing time? ESPN was pimping him pretty hard this morning

Yeah, he's definitely going to see a lot more action in the wildcat, especially in the red zone.

No.
He already gets a lot of snaps in the red zone as it is, just like Tebow got his freshman year. He really is used in an almost identical role.

The most snaps he's had in a game prior to last night was 2.lhslep134;497680 wrote:No.

I'm guessing he will see more snaps in the red zone and more snaps on 3rd and short.

They have. They experienced Florida speed just a couple weeks ago. Too bad it wasn't fast enough.

This is the same situation as in 2006.
This combo is alot better in my opinion than the Leak/Tebow package.

Clearly the fact that you were talking about a true freshmen is more important than the style of play. Also if you don't think Devin Gardener could have put up similar numbers with similar play calls last week against BG your insane.
