Now be honest! Who did you think would be the better pro QB??

Count me in as one of the guys that thought Leaf would be better(I didn't know he was a headcase). I watched Peyton throw screen pass after screen pass that went for big yardage at Tennessee, and never expected that to translate to the pro game. Peyton is easily the QB I like to watch the most. His command of the game of football is unlike anything I've ever seen!

I was definitely sold on Peyton Manning...he was the best college football player in the game that year(regardless of the novelty a good defensive player). I knew coming from a quarterbacking family, he would do better than Leaf. I will admit though, that I thought Leaf would be a quality qb in the league.

I live in Knoxville and watched Peyton his whole time here and thought he would be a very good pro QB but I also thought Leaf was going to be something special, especially going into the wide open passing attack then. If only I could go back and make that pick in my dynasty draft again, damn it! :o

Interesting to look back at now. I don't think anyone doubted Manning, but most thought Leaf had more upside based upon physical traits.

Another draft that I find interesting now is Mario Williams or Reggie Bush. Everyone thought the Texans were absolutely crazy, but they have build a very good team and it all started with Williams.

I can't remember who I thought would be better, but I do remember thinking Manning-Leaf was one of those "both teams will win" choices. I thought Manning would be a steady, quality quarterback who would peak as a Top 10-15 guy. I thought Leaf would take longer to develop, but was very likely to peak as a Top 5 easily.

LOL. I ARE DOO-PID!!!!

I thought they both would be pretty great QBs can't really say which one I thought would be better.

Dynasty count me as one of those people who thought Williams was the correct pick to make there. I figured he would be great it took him some time but hes became a pretty dominant guy. I remember everyone thought that taking Williams was terrible and the Texans would regret it.

As a Colts fan, I wanted Peyton bad. I didnt doubt Leaf, but I really thought Peyton had it (I was young, so those thoughts were directly influenced by my father).

The next year....I REALLY wanted Edgerrin James and not Ricky Williams. Both of them have been good. But the Colts made the home run pick for the time. Ricky has lasted longer, but Edge was better immediately. Much better.

As a Chargers fan, I remember being estatic that we were going to get Leaf. Now, if I saw him, I would curb stomp him and do his sister.

If his sister looks like he does, you might want to pass.

Or else force her to wear a bag over her head and then not call her.

I was on the Leaf bandwagon. Thought his physical abilities would translate better. Glad I wasn't the one making the decision that day.
