wow, really? Talk about a list of futility.

Edit: Sorry Capone & Dynasty - To know what futility means see dictionary.

Looks like a Who's Who list of qbs. LOL. Holmgren will fix that though.:p

Hard to rate to many Cleveland Qbs. They never put a line in front of them. So many fail and may have had potential. Cleveland is a Qb killer.

couch is definitely the best...he just had no line or really any help to speak of and got killed. give him this team's line and i'd say he's at least a carson palmer, eli manning, david garrard mold

holcomb would probably get the second nod. led the browns to their lone playoff appearance and if dennis northcutt had a pair of hands, we have a playoff victory against our rival

derek anderson is third, i guess. he really took advantage of a weak schedule but shit the bed when it really counted in 07 (against the bengals) and then was found to be a complete fraud once d-coordinators realized he couldn't hit an ocean liner on target within 15 yards.

garcia slotted fourth just because he got us our only opening day win...nothing else, however

i'll give wallace and delhomme the fifth slot because we really don't know the book on these two yet. although the book doesn't look much more than one of those pop-up children's books with lots of pictures

I actually agree, like a David Carr, he was given nothing. I think he could have been at min decent starter if he wasn't killed almost every game on the field.

But based on how he played for the Browns? Garcia did well with a couple other teams, but I don't recall him doing anything impressive with the Browns.

I'd probably go:
1. Couch (solid, if inconsistent, until lack of line led to him tragically getting murdered on the field)
2. Anderson (sad for you guys that basically having a very good one-half season makes him number #2)
3. Holcomb (did great as a "super-sub" for Couch, but couldn't turn that into success as a starter...could make a case for boosting him to #2)
4. I guess Garcia. He at least had a positive TD/INT ratio for his one year there (10/9).
5. Close eyes, pick a name, result's the same.

Holcomb. And yes Northcutt should have been eithanized after dropping a game clinching pass againt Pittspuke in the playoff game

^^
I'll go out on a limb and say the "since '99" stipulation eliminates Sipe.

Sad thread. It pains me to even try to rank these guys. I will say I agree with some of posters regarding Tim Couch. He could have been a solid QB.
