I haven't played it yet but I got CoD4 for 9.99 used today at blockbuster! Is it going to be worth it?

Uh, yes. Modern warfare is an awesome awesome game especially for 10 bucks.
Might not find many people to play online though with MW2 coming out.

Great buy. The maps in MW1 are far better than any other in the COD series, including MW2. The guns in MW2 are quite a bit better though.. although I miss the r700
