CAREY -- Carey got back on the winning track Friday as the Blue Devils defeated Tiffin Calvert 41-14 in a Midland Athletic Conference game.
Austin Tschanen scored on runs of 5 and 25 yards and Bryce Orians threw a touchdown pass and ran for a 43-yard score as Carey (2-3, 1-1 MAL) broke a three-game losing streak.
Tschanen's 5-yard scoring run gave the Blue Devils a first-quarter lead and Carey stretched the first-half lead to 21-0 with an Orians 40-yard scoring pass to Dylan Cole and Dustin Massey's 4-yard run.
Orians added his scoring run in the third quarter and Tschanen and Cole (19-yard pass from Dillon Sammons) scored in the fourth quarter. Carey completed two passes in the game and both went for touchdowns.
Daniel Kwiat (1-yard run) and Nathan Ritzler (24-yard run) scored for Tiffin Calvert (1-4, 0-2).
